About François Auger

François has 30 years of experience in cinema. He was director of technical services and archivist at the Cinematheque Quebecoise. He was also responsible for all projection facilities as well as the training of projectionists. He has gained extensive experience in the techniques of film conservation and restoration of film and videomedia as well as the projection of all film formats from the oldest to most recent. He led work for both chemical and digital film restoration. Invited by the Cinematheque of East Berlin for specialized training in archiving. He participated in the 4th training session of the International Federation of Film Archives in Berlin.
